Napier Book List

This is a list of books primarily about Napiers and by Napiers. The large majority of these books contain information about members of the Napier family but Napiers are active in other fields of literature as well as family history. We have historians, scientists, social scientists, politicians and members of the military. I have included, therefore, books by Napier authors which do not relate to the Napier family, such as medieval history, military history, historical novels, romantic novels, science fiction and poetry. This list is based on the contents of the compiler's library so no claim is made that this list is complete. As and when information about other books, and other sources of information, become known to the compiler, it will be added to the list. Please let me know if you find any book, pamphlet, or other source of Napier information. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Because of their age, quite a lot of the books are out of print, but can be often be obtained from second-hand or antiquarian book dealers, some more easily than others.

Books may also be obtained through the inter-library loan scheme via your local lending library.
